Biography

As an enrolled member of The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma + 7th generation hill country German settler,  years before becoming a mother, I had a deep knowing that I would be doing a lot of inner-work to undo my conditioning, acknowledge and work through historical trauma and reparent myself.

When my daughter was born I felt deeply connected to her, the role of parenting and sought to create a new kind of care for mothers, children and families. I was committed to breaking generational cycles of overwork and scarcity and parenting with greater truth, trust, and harmony. And, I was committed to healing from the abuse I experienced before + during pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

My longing to find the right kind of support turned into a drive to bring awareness and attention to the reimagining of postpartum care for mothers, knowing postpartum extends well-beyond the fourth-trimester and that dialogues needed to include trauma-informed and trauma-certified solutions and care.

For over 20 years I had been practicing holistic health and wellness and knew I could create something meaningful for maternal health with the right training. In 2020, I began studying with Rebecca Lyddon, Director of Education at the Jai Institute For Parenting, and soon after enrolled with the Jai Institute For Parenting and became a Certified Parenting Coach.

After my certification and an interest in deepening my understanding epigenetic influences and trauma through a generational lens, I began studying with Dr. Ruby Gibson, developer of Somatic Archaeology©. In 2022 I became a Certified Somatic Trauma Practitioner, studying with Dr. Gibson for over 500 hours, and am currently a provisional trainer of SA©.

I continue to mentor with elders in both native and traditional communities and am currently searching for the right doctoral program to advance my research and expertise in intergenerational trauma and abuse recovery.

Outside my practice, I’m a devoted parent, land steward and community member, committed to right-relationship with the Creator and healing with the ways of nature.

Serving native peoples and survivors with sliding scale rates, and offering consulting to land owners and ranchers healing with their land, I know to be true that children, parenthood and creation are sacred - and that a new paradigm starts in our hearts and in our homes.

Practice Values

  • Client sessions are 100% confidential. The session container is a brave space for clients to get to know their own inner-safety, deepest longings + reconnect to their instincts, intuition, learning to center their own needs + empowering their transformational process.

  • Moving beyond pathology, I approach clients with a sincere curiosity. Investigative questions help me to understand clients better.

  • I help bring about a self-awareness, not a diagnosis; honoring and trusting my clients’ process. I continue to do my own inner-work and am not an authority over my clients.

  • I’m anchored to the hope in this work. I understand it can be deeply uncomfortable at times, and know first-hand the healing it brings to mothers, parents, families, communities, land and our world.

“Wild Rose Motherhood is more than a business or practice. For me, it’s a way of life, a reflection of values and a commitment to helping mothers, women, children, families heal from trauma or abuse. Healing happens with new narratives of care that move beyond the session and into the life-world, healing generations and more.”
